CLIENT PORTAL user guide
The secure area within our website allows you to send and receive confidential information including:
- View tax returns, financial statements, and any other document we may upload for you.
- Send confidential documents and files securely.
SSL 128-BIT ENCRYPTION
Secure Client Manager uses a 128-bit SSL secure certificate to make sure data cannot be intercepted by an external party while you are accessing the secure area.
We use industry standard practices to transmit data between our servers and your internet browser.
These are the same methods used by major banks for online banking.
All secure area files are stored in a unique folder for each client. A client cannot access files that belong to another client.
All servers are stored in a secure data centre.
LOG INTO SECURE AREA
When we create your secure area, you will receive an email with your login details.
To log into your secure area, click the link in the email or:
- Open our website by visiting www.pertathomsonpartners.com.au
- Go to the client login section and enter your login details.
- Click Login.
To log out of the secure area, click Logout
on the menu.
Note - If you forget your password, you can click Forgot Password in the client login
area of our website and a temporary password will be emailed
to you. When you log in, you will be required to reset your password.
CHANGE YOUR LOGIN DETAILS
You can change your name, email and password once you have logged into your secure area. To do this click User Details on the top menu, then enter your new username
UPDATE THE SECURE AREA DETAILS
You can change the personal details of your secure area. Click Update Details on the top menu and enter your new details.
ACCESS UPLOADED FILES
You can access files that have been uploaded to your secure area. Log into your client area and click My Documents on the menu. Any new documents will be highlighted as new and you can also search for files if required.
To download a file, click the required file to download it to your local machine.
You can send documents back to your accountant. Compared to email, this is a safer way to send large and confidential files. The maximum combined upload size is 200MB
. (Note. your Internet connection speed will also affect your upload)
Please ensure all folders sent are zipped prior to attaching. To zip folder, right click on the folder you wish to send and select 'Send To' > Compressed 'zipped' Folder.
- Log into the secure area of our website: www.pertathomsonapartners.com.au
- Click Upload Files on the top menu.
- Click the arrow beside the Choose destination folder, then select the folder Client Uploads
- Click Upload Files.
- Select the required files.
- Click OK.
The file will be uploaded to your secure area. As the file uploads, a Status Bar will appear. Ensure you DO NOT
move from this webpage until this box disappears.
On completion of upload, the words 'Uploaded Files' in green colour font will appear, listing the files which have been successfully uploaded to the Client Portal.
